Bellemare Botanicals was named after my grandmother.
She was a guiding force in my life and I have so much to thank her for— My love of travel, my incessant need to document and take pictures of every experience, the appreciation of good book, and my awareness- from a very young age, of the magic that is a sea of lupines in full bloom. I look back now and realize it’s all about moments. When we feel most at ease, most ourselves, loved, and content- These moments are what register. They become the building blocks that make us each who we are as we move through life.
They are the moments that matter.
I also spent many summers in my grandfather’s garden.
I would visit him early in the season when the plants were tender and small. Then weeks later, I’d be back to help harvest some early crops and do some weeding. I remember even as a kid, being surprised at how much and how quickly things changed in the garden. I felt like I was witnessing moments in the garden. Moments that made me appreciate the work that goes into creating beautiful things. Those days, it was a bowl full of green beans, big juicy tomatoes and as many banana peppers as we could handle. And now it’s a venue full of arrangements crafted from locally grown, Maine flowers. Knowing the farmers, understanding the work that they have put into cultivating, growing and caring for the blooms that we then curate for you is so special. It brings me great joy to be a part of this community and to help you celebrate some of the most special moments in your life.
